Rare first pattern 1937 french army motorcyclist coat
size: shoulders 50cm • sleeve 63cm • chest 59cm (size 1)
condition: he is the father of all french motorcyclist coat – paletot – you’ve seen these last years! A first batch of 500 coats were manufactured in 1937. This coat is one of them. Details are minor but this pattern is lacking its epaulets (shoulder pads) and it has brass pit eyelets. You can find more infos in Militaria Magazine n°255. The ink stamp mentions 1938. Coat is in very good condition (minor holes on the left sleeve). It was still worn by an old farmer a couple of years ago, coat is uncleaned and smells tobacco.

Paletot motard armée française modèle 1937
taille: épaules 50cm • manche 63cm • 59cm (size 1)
condition: il est le père de tous les paletots Mle 38 vus ces dernières années! 500 exemplaires ont été fabriqués à titre expérimental en 1937, il en fait partie. Les détails sont mineurs: pas d’épaulettes contrairement au(x) modèle(s) suivant(s), les oeillets aux aisselles sont en cuivre. Vous pouvez trouver plus d’informations dans le Militaria Magazine n°255. Le paletot est en très bon état, à noter 3 petits trous dans la manche gauche. Ce manteau était encore porté il y a quelques années par un vieil agriculteur, il sent encore le tabac (n’a pas été lavé).
